Calgary, Alberta – July 7, 2017 – Each year, RGL looks forward to the Calgary Stampede and sponsoring events in the energy industry that support both local and international charities. This year, RGL is sponsoring the 19th Annual Big Guns Stampede Breakfast and the 3rd Annual Cowtown Rodeo.
On July 7th, the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and Medical Mercy Canada will present the 3rd Annual Cowtown Rodeo at the Girletz Ranch in Rocky View, Alberta. RGL and Hunting Energy Services will share the title sponsorship of this charitable event which will donate 90% of the funds raised to the Karuna Girls College in Nepal. Apart from offering English, Math, Science and other academic subjects, the school provides basic life skills such as nutrition, family planning, agriculture, and environmental awareness.
The Big Guns Breakfast, held on Tuesday, July 11th at the Cowboys Tent, is hosted by Big Guns Energy Services Inc. and Scott Safety Supply Services Inc. During this event, almost 5000 oil and gas professionals, including 100 volunteers and sponsors, come together to celebrate the Calgary Stampede and its heritage. Charitable proceeds raised through select games and activities will be donated to the Calgary Food Bank and the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) Petroleum Society.
