RGL presents sand control engineering strategies in Southeast Asia as part of the Alberta Government Trade Mission to Indonesia

Calgary, Alberta – May 25, 2017– Colby Sutton, a senior completion engineer on RGL’s business development team, presented on the importance of sand control engineering to Indonesia’s energy industry leaders during an invitation-only, Alberta Government Trade Mission to Jakarta, May 19 – 24, 2017.

Colby’s presentation, “Flow Control & Sand Control for EOR”, provided an overview of RGL’s experience providing sand control strategies to operators managing some of the world’s most challenging reservoirs. RGL was selected to participate in the Trade Mission by a Southeast Asian, state-owned oil and gas corporation in an effort to learn more about Canadian companies providing products and services to Alberta’s heavy oil industry. 

While in Jakarta, Sutton met with Indonesian government officials as well energy industry businesses and technical teams in the region. 

It is RGL’s expectation that by participating in the Trade Mission, the company will gain a deeper understanding of the Indonesian energy market as well as benefit from the opportunity to network with other with other Alberta companies investigating the potential of the Asia Pacific market.
