Calgary, AB – January 30, 2017 – RGL will be exhibiting, sponsoring, and presenting technical papers at the combined 2017 SPE Canada Heavy Oil Technical Conference and Unconventional Resources Conference to be held in Calgary, AB on February 15 and 16, 2017 at the BMO Center in Stampede Park.
Da Zhu, PhD, an applications and research engineering specialist on RGL’s Business Development Team, has co-authored a paper with Suncor that addresses the design and application of Flow Control Devices (FCDs) which presents practical considerations for the selection of FCDs and optimal FCD completion designs for SAGD wells.

In addition to the above, Michael Leitch, a Research Engineer on RGL’s Research Engineering team has collaborated with the University of Alberta (U of A) Petroleum Engineering department on two papers which will be presented by the U of A’s Mahdi Mahmoudi.
