For the first time in company history, RGL Reservoir Management experts have had five technical papers accepted for presentation at the upcoming 2018 SPE Canada Heavy Oil Technical Conference and Unconventional Resources Conference in Calgary March 13 and 14th.
Each year, SPE’s Journal of Petroleum Technology (JPT) short lists technical papers featuring innovative concepts for specific, energy industry sectors. RGL’s paper, by Mahdi Mahmoudi, Ph.D on “Sand-Screen Design and Optimization for Horizontal Wells Using Reservoir Grain-Size-Distribution Mapping - SPE 17903” was one of only three papers recommended in the 2017 Sand Management and Sand Control category.
One of three technical papers RGL is presenting at this year’s SPE International Conference and Exhibition on Formation Damage Control introduces the foundation concept of proLAB™, RGL’s Sand Control Testing Facility, successfully launched in 2017.
